Originating from the Burgundy region in France, this grape loves chalky soil, yet it is a small producer. This grape gives a very fine and delicate wines with a nose of violets, raspberries and most of all cherries (especially black cherries)… Fairly high in acidity, the wines produced from this grape are not very tannic.
